GFB DV+ T9358 Conversion kit for the OEM diverter valve for Mercedes-Benz Turbo models & Ford Fiesta ST (incl. Upgrade Kit)

Many vehicle manufacturers use an electrically controlled original valve, which is often already defective or leaking from the factory.
This causes a loss of performance, which is even more pronounced in performance-enhanced vehicles due to the higher boost pressure.

Here GFB expands its DV+ range with a Plug 'n Play solution: The robust, anodised and CNC-milled aluminium casing of the diverter valve GFB DV+ closes this "hole" in the charge air system and the vehicle has noticeably more power and torque. The mode of operation was verifiably tested by GFB in several power measurements on the test bench!

The GFB DV+ integrates perfectly, as it only exchanges the original valve and the original control unit (the solenoid valve unit) is reused.

GFB's DV+, however, reacts better, is cheaper, easier to install and causes no "surging" or fluttering. In addition, there is no need for other springs to adapt to the particular boost pressure, nor for regular maintenance. The end result is sharper throttle response, lightning-fast valve actuation, and it will hold as much boost as you can throw at it.

The secret is, that the piston seals itself by the applied boost pressure and not by means of the spring. Through small openings in the piston guide housing, the pressure flows backwards into the valve unit and forces the piston downwards by its own force of the boost pressure, which presses the piston with the rubberized underside against the stop and thus seals the system under load.

By the so-called "Pliot" (in the figure below referred to as "solenoid plunger"), the "pressure chamber" of the piston is now hermetically sealed, so now in the interior of the piston chamber on a larger area pressure applied, as from the bottom of the rubberized bottom. As soon as a load change occurs (e.g., during the shift), the drive unit lifts the pliot and the pressure can escape from the piston chamber, causing the piston to lift and drain the excess pressure from the charge air system.
